Why We Give
Scholarships for continuing education through Neville Alumni and Friends is an important reason to support NAFA.
Your support through membership or donations helps to fund our yearly scholarships which are given to Neville seniors each year.
Scholarship Opportunities
If you’d like to donate to a specific scholarship, simply note it in the comments/notes section of the form. Your entire contribution will go directly to the scholarship of your choice.
NAFA Scholarship ($1,000)

- Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
- Applicants must be the child of a current NAFA member.
- Applicants must have attended Neville for 4 years.
Brian Gregory Memorial Award ($1,000)

- Applicants must plan to study Social Studies or Government in college.
- Applicants are required to be of good moral character, active in the community and school and be a good role model.

- Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

- Applicants must have at least a 2.8 GPA.
- Applicants must attend ULM or Tech.

- The winner must be accepted to LSU for the fall semester following graduation.

- The winners must be college bound and interested in the art of literary composition.
Christella Dawson/Ann Qualls Scholarship ($20,000)

- This scholarship will be given to a student who will attend a four (4) year college or university.
- The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who has need of financial assistance as determined by the benefactor of said scholarship.
- The winner will be selected by and mentored by the benefactor for the duration of their college education. It will be given every four (4) years.
Carrick Richard Inabnett Music Scholarship ($1,500)

- Applicants must have been a member of the band for at least two (2) years.
- In the event no band member applies or qualifies, an eligible orchestra or choir member for at least two (2) years may be awarded.
- Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and been accepted into a college or university of their choice.
Zach Inabnet Memorial Scholarship ($1,500)

Thomas King Landry “Eye of the Tiger” Award ($1,000)

This award will be presented to a graduating senior that most exemplifies the ideals of the “Eye of a Tiger” by possessing a laser-focus on a singular goal.
This award recipient must possess imagination, effort, courage, and most of all perseverance in the face of adversity, which is the single most important attribute of an entrepreneur.
This recipient of the “Eye of the Tiger” award is steadfast in pursuit of their quest.
#318 Love your Community Award ($2,000)

- Applicants who are actively engaged in their community, who have volunteered, participated in community service projects, and demonstrated leadership skills in the #318 area code are eligible for this Community Involvement Award.
- The applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
James Rogers Mathematics Scholarship ($1,000)

- Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA in pre-calculus and calculus (each class).
- Applicants must be an in-person student learning NOT online or transferred credit.
- Applicants must be members of the National Honor Society.
- Applicants must intend to major in a math-related area in college.
Stephen A. Jefferson Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)

Tarver Braddock Memorial Scholarship ($1,800)

Benefactors Lindsey Husted NHS 1995 & Brett Braddock
This scholarship is presented in memory of Tarver Mickel Braddock by his parents.
Tarver loved being a Neville Tiger and he was a spirited student that loved making people laugh. The scholarship will be given to a student with a passion for life, that demostrats extreme NHS pride in sporting events, pep rallies, and any school activity.
The scholarship recipient must have plans on furthering their education at the school of their choice after attending Neville for all four (4) full years.
James “Jim” Gregory Memorial Award ($1,000)

- Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
- Applicants must have attended Neville for a full two (2) years.

- Applicants must have the desire to serve others by training to be a first responder.

Become a Neville Alumni & Friend
NAFA Membership is a way to show your support for Neville and the Alumni group.
It is the mission of NAFA to provide supplemental funding for programs or projects to enhance the quality of instructional delivery and student life, and to promote excellence in higher education at Neville High School.
